Ukraine: Explosion rocks Kyiv District Court during hearing, no casualties reported

Kyiv/Ukraine: The Minister of Interior of Ukraine stated on Wednesday that reports of an explosion at a district court in Kyiv were received by the police, and emergency services were promptly dispatched to the location.

"There is an emergency in the Shevchenkivskyi court of Kyiv. The police received a report of an explosion. Police investigative teams, special forces, explosives experts and other necessary services arrived at the scene," said Interior Minister Igor Klymenko as per AFP.

The officials have reported no casualties so far. According to initial reports, a man detonated an unidentified device during a court hearing," stated Mr Klymenko.

He further advised the residents of the capital to avoid the area and let the first responders do their job.
