US: BNM conducts an awareness event outside White House on human rights abuse in Zehri

The Baloch National Movement (BNM) recently conducted an awareness event outside the White House in Washington DC when members of the group handed out flyers focusing on human rights abuses in the Baloch region of Zehri.

The campaign was led by BNM USA President Sami Baloch.

During the event, BNM representatives engaged with Ukrainian activists, briefing them on the latest developments in Balochistan.

They highlighted the ongoing military aggression across the region and the worsening humanitarian crisis caused by Pakistan’s actions.

The Ukrainian activists expressed their solidarity with the Baloch nation and shared perspectives on the global struggle for freedom and justice.

The pamphlet distributed by BNM described Pakistan as a terrorist state that exploits the natural resources of the Baloch and other oppressed nations. It accused the Pakistani state of selling Balochistan’s geostrategic importance and wealth for international political and economic gain — a key reason, it said, why Western powers remain silent about the crimes committed by Pakistan’s military and political elite. “This inhuman complicity must come to an end,” the pamphlet declared.

The pamphlet also shed light on the ongoing military aggression in Zehri, where, in mid-September 2025, the Punjabi Army launched a large-scale offensive.

According to the pamphlet, this action involved violence against civilians, forced displacements, and widespread destruction of property. It stated that the purpose of these military aggressions was to suppress local political and social leaders and crush the people’s resistance, resulting in the targeting of innocent civilians.

Several specific incidents were documented.

On September 17, 2025, a drone strike near Zehri killed several people, including Sanaullah, Amna, Ali Akbar, Lal Bibi, Muhammad Hassan, and Muhammad Yaqoob. Later, on October 5, 2025, Punjabi Army carried out helicopter gunfire and bombardments in the Moola Chaari area of Zehri, which resulted in the deaths of civilians, including children, BNM said in a statement issued on its website.

The Baloch National Movement reaffirmed its commitment to continue its peaceful and democratic struggle to raise international awareness about the situation in Balochistan and to expose Pakistan’s ongoing atrocities against the Baloch nation.
