Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and visiting US Secretary of State Antony Blinken are holding a private meeting at the Kirya in Tel Aviv on Friday amid the ongoing conflict with Hamas terror group.

Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu's official page shared images of the meeting on X.

Along with the pictures, the page posted: "Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is now holding a private meeting with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, at the Kirya in Tel Aviv."

The post further said they will also meet with the members of the War Cabinet

In October, Blinken also paid an official visit to Israel in an effort to assist in resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

After landing in Israel, Blinken wrote on X: "Returned to Israel for meetings with @IsraeliPM Netanyahu, President @Isaac_Herzog , and other government leaders. Will discuss Israel’s right to defend itself and our work to get humanitarian assistance to civilians in Gaza."

On October 7, Palestinian group Hamas launched a surprise large-scale rocket attack against Israel from the Gaza Strip and breached the border, killing and abducting people in neighbouring Israeli communities.

Israel launched retaliatory strikes and ordered a complete blockade of the Gaza Strip, home to more than 2 million people, cutting off supplies of water, food, and fuel.

On October 27, Israel launched a large-scale ground incursion inside the Gaza Strip to eliminate Hamas fighters and rescue the hostages.

The escalation of the conflict has resulted in the deaths of around 1,400 people in Israel and over 9,000 in the Gaza Strip.
