AmCham appoints new Director General CEO

Kolkata, Nov 2 (IBNS): The American Chamber of Commerce in India (AmCham) has appointed Ranjana Khanna as its new Director General CEO, who takes over on Nov 2.

Ranjana Khanna comes with vast and diversified experience having served public sector organizations like STC and ITDC, and industry associations such as the Indian Association of Tour Operators, FICCI and the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce.

Ranjana is well versed with Indo-U.S. relations having served as the Deputy Secretary General of FICCI in USA for nearly 8 years.

During her tenure in the U.S., she not only networked and engaged with the U.S. Government and industry but also connected with think tanks like Brookings, Heritage Foundation, Center for Strategic and International Studies, Asia Society, and Carnegie Institute for International Peace.

Ranjana’s last stint of nearly two years was with the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce where she served as its Secretary General and focused on enhancing Indo-U.S. economic partnership across sectors.

With a strong education background (post graduation in physics and MBA from FMS, Delhi University), Ranjana has also won a number of awards across diverse fields.

Ranjana is expected to play a pivotal role at the American Chamber of Commerce in India focusing on strengthening networking with Indian and US  Governments and strengthening relationships with States through AmCham’s regional offices.
