BSE Sensex falls over 200 pts

Mumbai, Dec 10 (UNI) The BSE Sensex on Thursday slipped by 223 pts at 45,880.31 on profit booking by local operators at higher level.

The Nifty of National Stock Exchange too eased by 76.60 pts to 13,452.50.

The equity market was in red as selling was witnessed across the board.

The Sensex registered intra-day high and low at 46,001.97 and 45,710.87 pts respectively.

The Nifty registered intra-day high and low at 13,488.50 and 13,399.30 respectively.

The Mid Cap declined by 0.71 pc and Small Cup by 0.75 pc respectively.

In 30 scrips 12 advanced while 18 declined.

The losers were Ultracemco by 1.95 pc to Rs 5047.60, IndusInd Bank by 1.52 pc to Rs 914, Sun Pharma by 1.47 pc to Rs 561.15, M & M by 1.27 pc to Rs 745.25 and HDFC Bank by 1.17 pc to Rs 1389.40.

The gainers were Nestle India by 2.01 pc to Rs 17,915, Asian Paints by 1.09 pc to Rs 2548.55, Titan by 0.53 pc to Rs 1434.10 and Maruti Suzuki by 0.43 pc to Rs 7740.70.
