Canara Bank revises interest rate for Saving Bank deposits above Rs 1000 cr

Kochi: Canara Bank, a leading Public Sector Bank, has revised the rates of interest and introduced additional slab for Rs 1,000 crore and above for Saving Bank (SB) deposits with higher rates of interest, with effect from March 1, 2022.

For outstanding balance of Rs 500 crore to less than Rs 1000 crore, the interest will be 3.35 per cent and for outstanding balance of Rs 1000 crore and above, 3.50 per cent, a statement said here on Wednesday.

The interest for outstanding balance of less than Rs 50 lakh will be 2.90 per cent.

For outstanding balance of Rs 50 lakh to less than Rs 100 crore, the interest will be 2.90 per cent.

The interest for outstanding balance of Rs 100 crore to less than Rs 300 crore will be 3.05 per cent and outstanding balance of Rs 300 crore to less than Rs 500 crore will be 3.05 per cent, it added.
