Kolkata: Coca-Cola India announced its entry into the ready-to-drink tea market through the introduction of 'Honest Tea,' a brand owned by a subsidiary of the Coca-Cola Company 'Honest', media reported.

The organic green tea used in the beverage will be supplied by Luxmi Tea Co Private Ltd's Makaibari Tea Estate in Kolkata, according to a company representative.

The two firms inked an MoU in this regard at the seventh edition of the Bengal Global Business Summit (BGBS) in Kolkata.

With the new addition, Coca-Cola is looking to diversify its range of beverage offerings, the company representative said.

The iced green tea will be available in Lemon-Tulsi and Mango variations, he further noted.
