Hong Kong City/ Xinhua/UNI: Hong Kong stocks closed down 724.59 points, or 2.62 percent, to 26,926.55 points on Monday.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index traded between 26,830.47 and 27,361.41.

Turnover totaled 86.56 billion Hong Kong dollars (about 11.05 billion US dollars).
