ICICI Bank organises three coin exchange melas in Jammu & Kashmir

Jammu, June 16 (IBNS) : ICICI Bank Ltd, India's largest private sector bank, organised three coin exchange melas at its branches in Jammu and Udhampur in the last fortnight.

Two of these melas were held in Jammu at its branches in Sainik Colony and Channi Himmat, while the third was organised at Dhar Road in Udhampur. The melas took place under the guidance of the Reserve Bank of India.

The Bank periodically organised coin exchange melas to offer free facility of exchanging acceptable soiled and mutilated currency notes with fresh currency and coins to the general public. They are much-awaited events that receive an overwhelming response from people from all walks of life. Anyone can avail of this facility free of cost.

These events saw participation of more than 100 people. The Bank exchanged total coins worth Rs. 3.75 lakhs in the denomination of Rs.10, Rs.5, Rs.2 and Rs.1 during these melas.

ICICI Bank has 4450 branches and 13766 ATMs spread across the country at March 31, 2016.  It has over 35 branches and around 75 ATMs in the state.
