Indian Market: Sensex drops over 300 points

Mumbai/UNI: The BSE Sensex on Monday slid 339 points at 57,493.19 as selling was witnessed across the board.

The Nifty too fell by 105.05 points at 17,171.25.

The Sensex registered the day's high and low at 57,705.80 and 57,167.02 points respectively.

The Nifty registered the day's high and low at 17,231.30 and 17,070.70 points respectively.

The Mid Cap fell 0.87 per cent and Small Cap by 1.62 per cent.

In 30 scrips, 5 advanced while 25 declined.

The losers were Titan by 2.34 per cent to Rs 2,429.45, TCS by 1.76 per cent to Rs 3,728.05, M& M by 1.62 per cent to Rs 836.95, Tech Mahindra by 1.46 per cent to Rs 1,416.75 and Bajaj Finserv by 1.39 per cent to Rs 15,878.10.

The gainers were Maruti Suzuki by 1.13 per cent to Rs 8,652, IndusInd Bank by 0.63 per cent to Rs 961.55, ICICI Bank by 0.48 per cent to Rs 753.15 and Powergrid by 0.36 per cent to Rs 196.50.
