Indian Market: Sensex up 60 points

Mumbai/UNI: The BSE Sensex on Wednesday rose 60 points to open to 59,921.98 following gains in FMCG, Finance and Health Care stocks.

The Nifty too moved up by 15 points to 17,820.10.

The Sensex registered the days high and low at 60,027.76 and 59,661.38 points respectively.

The Nifty registered the days high and low at 17,834.10 and 17,748.85 points respectively.

The Mid Cap advanced by 0.26 per cent and Small Cap by 0.12 per cent.

In 30 scrips, 18, advanced, 11 declined while one remained unchanged.

The gainers were Bajaj Finance by 2.98 per cent to Rs 7561.60, Bajaj Finserv by 2.32 per cent to Rs 17,509.55, ICICI Bank by 1.69 per cent to Rs 786, Axis Bank by 1.59 per cent to Rs 719.90 and Asian Paints by 1.59 per cent to Rs 3511.15.

The losers were Tech Mahindra by 2.11 per cent to Rs 1749.65, HCL Technology by 2 per cent to Rs 1307.30, Infosys by 1.73 per cent to Rs 1863.50 and Wipro by 1.52 per cent to Rs 710.55.
