Mumbai, Apr 6 (IBNS): The Indian market closed on a lackluster note on Friday with BSE Sensex up 30.17 points at 33,626.97 and NSE Nifty up 6.40 points at 10,331.60.

The market chose to remain cautious before the start of the March earning season and in the face of escalating tension between China and the US over import of goods.

Some of the key stocks that closed higher on Friday were Lupin, Sun Pharma, BPCL, ICICI Bank, Maruti Suzuki, Adani Ports, Titan Company, HPCL and Tata Steel while Idea Cellular, Bharti Airtel, L&T, Infosys, Bajaja Auto, Tata Motors (D), Vedanta and HCL Tech were some of the key stocks that declined.
