LPG price cut by Rs. 6.52 per cylinder

New Delhi, Nov 30 (IBNS): Giving relief to consumers, Indian Oil Corporation on Friday said price of domestic LPG has been reduced by Rs. 6.52 per cylinder.

The cylinder will now cost Rs. 500.90 from midnight tonight.

The cost of 14.2-kg subsidised LPG cylinder was Rs. 507.42 in the national capital so far.

An official statement released by the IOC said: "As domestic LPG prices are subsidized by Government, the Effective Price after subsidy to consumer will reduce by Rs.6.52/cylinder (from Rs. 507.42 in November 2018 to Rs.500.90 for the month of December 2018). The reduction is on account of GST impact on decrease in price of Non-Subsidised LPG."

It said non-subsidised or market priced LPG rates have been reduced by Rs.133 per cylinder from Dec 1.

"The price of Non-Subsidised LPG at Delhi will decrease by Rs.133.00 per cylinder w.e.f. 1st December’2018, due to fall in price of LPG in international market and strengthening of US$-rupee exchange rate. Accordingly, the upfront cash payment by the consumer for purchase of domestic LPG refill will reduce by Rs.133/cylinder, i.e. from Rs.809.50/- cylinder in December, 2018 in Delhi market in place of Rs.942.50/- cylinder in November, 2018," the statement said.
