Markets end on a flat note

Mumbai, Jun 3 (IBNS) Despite rising to its seven-month high intraday, the markets closed on a flat note on Friday owing to profit booking late in the day.

Sensex fell 0.11 points to 26843.03 while Nifty was up 1.85 points to 8220.80.

According to experts,the market will show some swings as it remains cautious before the RBI Policy meeting on June 7, the US Fed meeting on June 14-15 and the referendum in Britain.

Some of the top gainers on Friday were Axis Bank, ICICI Bank, M&M, NTPC, HUL and Bajaj Auto while BHEL, GAIL, ITC, L&T, SBI, Lupin, Bharti Airtel and Sun Pharma declined.
