Petrol, diesel prices hiked

New Delhi, June 15 (IBNS): Petrol price has been raised by 5 paise a litre while diesel price was increased by Rs 1.26 a litre, officials said on Wednesday.

The new prices will come to effect from midnight tonight.

" Increase in Retail Selling Price of Petrol by Rs. 0.05/litre at Delhi (including State levies) with corresponding price revision in other States. With this change, the price of Petrol in Delhi will become Rs. 65.65/litre," state-run Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) said in a statement.

"Increase in Retail Selling Price of Diesel by Rs. 1.26/litre at Delhi (including State levies) with corresponding price revision in other States. With this change, the price of Diesel in Delhi will become Rs. 55.19/litre," it said.
