Kolkata, Sept 26 (IBNS): The 49th Annual General Meeting of Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL) was held here on Monday.

Post-meeting, K.D.Diwan, Chairman-cum-Managing Director of the Central PSU stated, this year 39.08 Lakh MT ore has been produced which is the highest in last 17 years.

The total sales of the company has increased by 11% over last year.

Diwan further said, “While the physical performance has shown good improvement in 2015-16, the same could not be reflected in the financial performance mainly due to steep fall in load on metal exchange prices of Copper by around 21% as compared to previous year”.

No dividend is being paid by the company this year, he further stated.
