Sensex up over 100 points

Mumbai/UNI: The BSE Sensex on Thursday recovered 155.67 points at 61,716.31 in opening trade as buying was seen in FMCG, Industrials and IT stocks.

The Nifty too rose 41.80 pts at 18,223.55.

The sensex registered intra-day high and low at 61,955.90 and 61,687.10 pts respectively.

The Nifty recorded intra-day high and low at 18,297.20 and 18,213.85 respectively.

The Mid Cap moved up 0.21 pc and small Cap by 0.44 pc respectively.

In 30 scrips, 20 advanced while 10 declined.

The gainers were Bajaj finance by 1.40 pc to Rs 6802, Axis Bank by 1.3 pc to Rs 926.90, Bharti Airtel by 1.20 pc to Rs 801.75 and Kotak Bank by 0.62 pc to Rs 1921.

The losers were Hind Unilever by 0.60 pc to Rs 2446, M& M by 0.60 pc to Rs 1255.70, Powergrid by 0.54 pc to Rs 237.35 and Titan by 0.54 pc to Rs 2747.50.
