COVID-19: Six new cases in Kerala, total touches 12, says CM

Thiruvananthapuram/UNI: With six more people testing positive to Coronavirus on Tuesday, the total cases rose to 12 in Kerala, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said.

Addressing a press conference after convening an emergency Cabinet meeting to review the situation following the outbreak of the virus, the Chief Minister said all educational institutions including Ankanawadis, Madrasas, CBSE and ICSE schools and professional colleges will remain closed till March 31 as a precautionary measure to control the spread of COVID-19.

Three positive Coronavirus cases reported earlier were cured and tested negative. The total reported positive cases in Kerala now stands at 15, he clarified.

The Cabinet also decided to cancel all the examinations till Class VII. However, the examinations of other classes and colleges will be held according to the schedule, he said.
