Covid spike in Haryana leaves 1 dead, 193 new positive cases

Chandigarh/UNI: One person succumbed to Coronavirus on Tuesday in Yamunanagar of Haryana and 193 new positive cases were reported in the state, official sources said.

According to a bulletin issued by the state health department, with 98 infected people, the maximum number of new positive cases were reported from Gurugram.

Faridabad stood at number two with 42 new cases.

With this development, total active cases rose to 840.

Health minister Anil Vij, after a meeting with health department officials on Monday, declared that wearing a facemask was mandatory in crowded places and by all health workers as well.
