India records 12830 new COVID-19 infections in last 24 hrs, active cases lowest since March 2020

New Delhi/IBNS: India registered 12,830 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said on Sunday.

With 14,667 recoveries in the last 24 hours, the recovery rate currently stands at 98.20 percent.

Active cases account for less than 1% of total cases, currently at 0.46%, which is the lowest since March 2020.

India's active caseload stands at 1,59,272, the lowest in 247 days.

Meanwhile, 106.14 crore vaccine doses have been administered so far under nationwide vaccination drive.
