Srinagar/IBNS: Director Health Services Kashmir (DHSK), Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Rather, Sunday inaugurated dengue testing facility at the JLNM Hospital.

On the occasion, DHSK said dengue tests can now be conducted at the JLNM Hospital.

Dr Rather said the Health Department has formulated special teams in other hospitals of the Directorate for the detection and treatment of such patients in Kashmir.

He said the Health Department is ready to face any eventuality in case of dengue, however, precautions have been communicated to people and health care workers from different mediums.

“There are some 26 cases of dengue. All of them are travelers. There is no indigenous case from the valley. But we have started treatment facilities in all the hospitals. We have also created special teams in all districts for treatment, monitoring and surveillance of dengue cases,” he said.
