Magnitude 3.3 earthquake hits Nagpur

Nagpur/UNI: A mild earthquake of magnitude 3.3 hit Nagpur in Maharashtra around 1610 hrs on Tuesday, an official from local IMD said here.

According to detailed reports, a low intensity earthquake was experienced in Madhya Pradesh's Seoni district on Tuesday morning and the tremors were also felt at Nagpur, located about 96 km from Seoni in neighbouring Maharashtra.

The earthquake was recorded at 4.10 am in Seoni with its epicentre at a depth of 15 km, India Meteorological Department's (IMD) said.

National Center for Seismology also tweeted that Earthquake of Magnitude: 3.3, Occurred on 27-10-2020, 04:10:50 IST, Lat: 21.92 & Long: 79.50, Depth: 15 Km, Location: 96km NNE of Nagpur, Maharashtra, India.

However, no casualty or damage to property reported, the official added.
