Meghalaya reports two more COVID-19 positive cases

Guwahati/IBNS: Meghalaya on Thursday reported two more positive cases for COVID-19 and both are family members of the first infected patient of the state who died on Wednesday morning.

The state's total tally is now increased to 9 including the death case.

Confirming the report, Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma said that, two people who are the family members of the first COVID-19 positive patient of the state.

The Meghalaya Chief Minister tweeted: “2 more cases have tested positive. Both are family members of the first patient.”

A 69-year-old senior doctor of a Shillong based hospital was tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday and he died on Wednesday morning.

On Wednesday, six family members and helper of the deceased doctor were tested for COVID-19.
