New Delhi: 10 Omicron patients discharged
New Delhi/UNI: Ten Omicron Covid-19 patients were discharged from the LNJP Hospital here in the last two days, it was announced on Saturday.
Currently, 10 patients are being treated in the hospital's special facility for Omicron cases. All of them are stable, Hospital Medical Director Suresh Kumar told UNI.
Delhi reported as many as 12 cases of Omicron in a span of 24 hours on Friday. Two of them are being treated in private facilities.
Amid rising cases of Covid-19 Omicron strain, the Delhi government on Saturday designated three private hospitals to treat suspects and patients.
The three hospitals -- all in the private sector -- added to the list are Batra Hospital, Fortis Vasant Kunj and Sir Ganga Ram City Hospital.
The LNJP Hospital and Max Hospital in Saket were identified earlier to treat the patients.
Hours after Delhi recorded 10 cases of Omicron variant, two more cases were confirmed in the national capital on Friday evening, official sources told UNI.
One of the two patients is admitted to Max Hospital in Saket, hospital sources told UNI.
The sources said the patient had recently gone abroad and tested positive for Covid-19 at the Indira Gandhi International Airport.
"His condition is stable for now," the sources added.
