Apple Music has increased its subscription prices across several markets worldwide, marking its first price hike since 2022.

The revised pricing is already live on Apple's subscription pages in the United States, the United Kingdom and Europe, and is expected to roll out across other markets, according to Music Business Worldwide.

In the United States, the Individual plan has increased to $11.99 per month from $10.99, the Family plan to $19.99 from $16.99, and the Student plan to $6.99 from $5.99, the report said.

According to reports, the revised pricing came into effect on July 17.

"As a result of rising licensing costs, Apple Music is increasing its subscription price beginning today," the company said in a statement quoted by Music Business Worldwide.

In the United Kingdom, the Individual plan has risen to £11.99 from £10.99, while the Family plan now costs £19.99, up from £16.99, the report added.

In Europe, the Individual plan has increased to €11.99 from €10.99, the Family plan to €19.99 from €16.99, and the Student plan to €6.99.

New subscribers will be charged the revised rates immediately.

Existing subscribers are expected to be migrated to the new pricing from their next billing cycle after receiving prior notification from Apple, according to reports.

Apple Music, the company's music streaming service, was launched in 2015.
