Kolkata, Dec 14 (IBNS): The second and final day of Blenders Pride Fashion Tour in Kolkata left the audience mesmerized with the amazing designs by Pankaj & Nidhi and Namrata Joshipura.
Pankaj & Nidhi designed a set of new collection for the Blenders Pride tour. They named their collection as “The glass house by the sea’.

Speaking on their collection the designers said, “We imagined a fantasy place and a building made of glass by the ocean. That’s how this idea emerged in our minds. We have experimented with flowers, sand, sunset and clouds and highlighted with our signature embroidery. We developed some reflective stone and sis some amazing thing with leather colors.”

“The colors are inspired by the colors of the ocean. There are blue, green and some lilac color. The cuts are very sharp, modern, lean and
long.  We have worked with a lot of crop tops, three quarter skirts, jumpsuits dresses and jackets structured in their own way,” they added.

Speaking on the city the designer duo said, “Kolkata is so rich in its own culture, heritage. The city really loves crafts and hand looms. We
love the work of Anamika Khanna, Sabyasachi, Dev r Nil and others. The city have its own creativity. Our collection connects well with
Kolkata audience because our dresses also include crafts with a modern touch in it.”

Designer Namrata Joshipura’s collection was all about black and white prints with a bit of gold grey and metallic.

"I am obsessed with shorts. We have palazzo pants, three quarters, fitted dresses which are both long and short. I have used a sun block
pattern which has geometric angles to it. I also have floral texting which is three dimensional in nature. I wanted to create a whole story
of patterns with prints, embellishments, shapes and textures," she said.

Speaking on the city, she said, “Kolkata is performing art. It’s a whole package of music, art, culture and heritage. The city is so fascinating for me.”
