More festive menus to try in Kolkata this Poila Baisakh

Kolkata/IBNS: With the home team KKR playing their next match at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on April 14 followed by the Bengali New Year  falling on April 15, the upcoming long weekend promises to be full of excitement and fun.

So we have rounded up a second list of restaurants and pubs in Kolkata for you to go out and enjoy with your family and friends.

Some of the restaurants and pubs have already launched their festive menus, so why not start  the celebrations early?

Where: Canteen Pub & Grub
When: April 14-16 April, 2023
Highlights: ‘Canteen-er Noboborsho Thali’ with vegetarian and non-vegetarian options along with unlimited beer; depending on your choice, expect quintessential Bengali favourites, such as moong dal with jhuri aloo bhaja, aloo posto, dhokar dalna, chanar kofta, echor chingri, pabdar teljhal, mutton kosha, etc.
Cost: Special Thali along with beer is priced at Rs 1,399 plus tax for vegetarian option and Rs 1,599 plus tax for non vegetarian option

Highlights: Gondhoraj malai fish tikka, Darjeeling pork momo, bhetki kabiraji, pokchoy wrapped steamed shorshe bhetki, aam kasundi paneer tikka, pulled jackfruit tacos, chingri malai curry, kosha mangsho with basanti pulao, mango coconut tres leches, etc.

Where: Tipsy Tiger, The Meridian
When: April 15, 2023; buffet from 12.30pm to 5pm
Highlights: Tok doi-er chop, mochar cutlet, topse macher bhaja, Zakaria street mutton haleem, a variety of savouries, bhaja & bhorta hing o koraishuti diye aloor dum, kumror chokka, kucho chingrir chorchori, kesari murgir chaanp, aloo diye mutton biryani chenar rasgulla, daab malai, baked mihidana;  add on -  pancha parbon (a non-alcoholic drink made with stone apple puree and passion fruit syrup) also get ready to dance your heart out with DJ SWAY & make your poila baisakh extra special with your loved ones.

Highlights: The specially curated Nobo Borsho thali at Earthern Tadcka offers “Gondhoraj Shorbat”, followed by scrumptious offerings like “Sona Moong Dal”, “Jhuri Aloo Bhaja”, “Sukto”, “Dhokar Dalna”,”Kochu Chingri”, “Pabda Macher Jhol”, “Kosha Mangsho” accompanied by “Ghee Bhaat & Luchi ”.
