Tanishq launches second Farah Khan Ali collection in Kolkata

Kolkata, Sept 17 (IBNS): Tanishq, India’s largest jewellery brand, on Tuesday launched the second edition of the Farah Khan collection, in Kolkata, unveiling exclusively designed jewellery by celebrity jewellery designer Farah Khan Ali.

It is an extension to the elaborate diamond jewellery collection line launched last year, which is a marriage of the best in class diamonds and spectacular designs.

Speaking on the collection Farah Khan Ali said, “The inspiration behind the Mughal collection was a lot to do with the floral art of the Mughal era. My designs also include the Persian art and architecture and the floral motifs. I have used mostly peacock forms and floral arts in my designs.”

“My designers and craftsmen who I work with are mostly from Kolkata and they are very talented and dedicated,” said Farah.

The  diamond accessories are crafted in 18k gold with diamonds and other precious stones like rubies, emeralds, pearls, citrine, amethysts, topaz which made the designs traditional yet contemporary.

The collections included earrings, cocktail rings, pendant sets and bracelets. It also included multi figure rings, ring-earring sets, ear cuffs and front and back earring sets.

Farah Khan Ali said that she was  elated to announce the launch of the second edition of the Farah Khan for Tanishq line and working with Tanishq was a wonderful experience for her and the immense success of the first collection gave her  the confidence to recreate the magic once again.

Speaking on the collection,   Revathi Kant, Associate Vice president, Design, Innovation and NPI, Jewellery Division, Titan Company Limited said, “This collection is for the Indian woman, who considers jewellery to be an extension of her personality. We are pleased to have Farah back in the Tanishq family as we celebrate the success of this stunning range of jewellery. We are confident this second edition will be as successful as the first one, if not more, and have an appeal amongst women of diverse age groups across India."

Tanishq, India’s only national jeweller offers gold and gem-set jewellery in over 5000 traditional, western and fusion look. The Tanishq retail chain currently spreads across 179 exclusive boutiques in 102 cities.
