At least six people, including an 80-year-old man, were killed when part of the roof of a dargah collapsed in Delhi's Nizamuddin area on Friday evening.

Five others got injured in the accident and were admitted to the AIIMS Trauma Centre for treatment.

Officials said that people were visiting the dargah for Friday prayers when the roof collapsed, news agency PTI reported.

The Dargah Sharif Patte Shah is located near Humayun's Tomb in Nizamuddin East.

Visuals from the site showed that the roof of a small, lime-green building around an open courtyard had collapsed.

Multiple rescue agencies, including the Delhi Fire Services (DFS), Delhi Police, NDRF, and Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), were rushed to the site following the incident.
