All India Forward Bloc welcomes West Bengal govt's move to declassify files on Netaji
The party appeals to the government to keep the files in such place where the general public and the researchers can access them easily. The AIFB said it hopes that these papers will throw more lights on the plan and procedure of Netaji by utilizing the situation of World War II in favour of the liberation of India.
"These files will reveal the conspiracy of the then Congress party to keep Netaji away from independent India," said AIFB general secretary Debabrata Biswas.
The AIFB urged upon the federal government to declassify the 135 files lying with them.
The argument of the Union government that if we release the files related to Netaji, our relation with some foreign countries may affect adversely has no logic, it said.
"In the era of WTO, all the countries are keeping relations on the basis of trade and commerce. Moreover, the history and geography of many countries have changed since 1945, the end of World War II," said Biswas.
The West Bengal government on Friday released secret files connected with Indian freedom fighter Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.
Sixty-four files, which were with the West government, were unveiled on Friday.
