Assam: BSF nabs one cattle smuggler with six cattle heads

Guwahati/IBNS: The BSF troops apprehended a cattle smuggler with six cattle heads at Shishumara char area in Assam's South Salmara Mankachar district on Monday.

Based on a specific input, the BSF troops conducted a special operation at Shishumara char area at around 6-15 am on Monday and encountered a  suspicious movement of miscreants along with few cattles.

A top official of BSF said that the troops had immediately showed their highest degree of professionalism, challenged them and intercepted one Indian cattle smuggler along with 6 cattle heads.

The nabbed cattle smuggler was identified as 25-year-old Khutoo Sheikh, hailing from Kokordanga village under Kharwabanda police out post in South Salmara Mankachar district.

The apprehended cattle smuggler along with seized items were handed over to Kharwabanda police for legal action with FIR and proper seizure memo.
