Assam Rifles nab arms dealer in Nagaland

Guwahati, July 23 (IBNS): Assam Rifles troops have apprehended an arms dealer and recovered weapons from his possession in Nagaland. 

According to the reports, based on specific information, Kiphire Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) launched a search operation in general area Iron Bridge (Phelungre) and established a Mobile Vehicle Check Post near DC ground in Kiphire district on Sunday.

While conducting spot vehicle check, troops of Assam Rifles intercepted  a blue colour Alto Car bearing registration No WB  06 H-0161 and apprehended an arms dealer identified as Vitoka Sumi.

The apprehended person along with the recovered items were handed over to Kiphire Police Station for further investigation.
