Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina arrives in India

New Delhi: Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina on Monday arrived in India for her four-day visit to the neighbouring nation.

Union Minister of State for Textile Darshana Jardosh welcomed Hasina at the airport.

" Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina is warmly welcomed by MoS Railways and Textiles@DarshanaJardoshon her arrival in New Delhi for a State Visit. The visit will further strengthen the multifaceted relationship between the two countries," MEA spokesperson Arindam Bagchi tweeted.

She will visit India till Sept 8.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina last visited New Delhi in October 2019.

"During her visit, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will call on Hon’ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu and Hon’ble Vice President of India, Shri Jagdeep Dhankar and hold bilateral consultations with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar will call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina," read a statement issued by the Ministry of External Affairs.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is also likely to visit Ajmer.
