​Bengal woman gangraped and robbed after 5 men barged into house in Bengaluru, 3 arrested

Bengaluru/IBNS: Three people were arrested after a woman from West Bengal was gang-raped and robbed at her house in Bengaluru, media reports said.

The incident occurred at Bengaluru's Gangondanahalli at a time between 9:15 pm and midnight on Tuesday.

Five men barged into the house where six people were present.

Two other accused are on the run and a search operation is underway.

The woman was sexually assaulted, she was robbed off Rs. 25,000 and two mobile phones were taken.

Police had received a distress call at 12:30 am from the elder son of the survivor.

Senior cops had reached the spot upon receiving the call.

The survivor is out of danger.

Police said they are examining whether the survivor had known the accused prior.

A case of gangrape and robbery is filed.
