The Border Security Force conducted a joint operation with Punjab Police when they recovered a drone along with the contraband item in Punjab’s Tarn Taran district.

"On 03rd June 2024, a local villager informed the BSF about the presence of a drone and a packet of suspected heroin ahead of the border security fence in the Tarn Taran district. @BSF_Punjab troops immediately launched a search operation in the specified area," the BSF force said in an X post.

"During the search at about 12:08 PM, BSF troops successfully recovered a #drone and a packet (gross weight - 537 grams) of suspected #heroin near the zero line, ahead of the fence, on the outskirts of Village Mastgarh in Tarn Taran district," BSF said.

BSF further said the narcotics were wrapped in yellow adhesive tape along with two illumination strips and a copper wire loop attached to
the packet.

BSF said the recovered drone has been identified as a China-made DJI Mavic 3 Classic.
