Congress admits mistakes in seat sharing among grand alliance of in Bihar
Patna, Jun 4 (UNI): Senior Congress leader and party MP in Rajya Sabha Akhilesh Singh on Tuesday admitted that mistakes were committed in seat-sharing among constituents of Grand Alliance and selection of party candidates for Lok Sabha elections in Bihar which led to poor performance.
Singh told media persons he felt no qualms in admitting that mistakes were committed in seat-sharing among constituents of Grand Alliance.
Even the selection of candidates in Congress was not done properly, he pointed out.
Congress leader said that workers of parties associated with Grand Alliance did not work properly in tandem with each other.
"Had workers of all parties in Grand Alliance made united efforts, the result would have been different," he added.
"It was true that he wanted to contest either from Purnea or Munger but the party did not consider his claim for the candidature," he further said and added that party candidates got more votes in this election than 2014 Lok Sabha elections.
