New Delhi/IBNS: Ten days after the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) violence, the Delhi Police on Wednesday identified and named the masked woman who was caught in a video threatening the students inside the Sabarmati Hostel, media reports said.

Police have identified the woman as Komal Sharma who is a student of Daulat Ram College and a member of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), a students' wing of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).

The ABVP has been alleged to committing the violence by the Leftist students of JNU.

Meanwhile, the ABVP has admitted that Sharma belongs to their outfit.

Going flashback to Jan 5 evening, a huge number of masked men had entered the campus and girls' hostel of JNU and attacked several students including their union leader Aishe Ghosh and a professor named Sucharita Sen.

The two others who were seen with Sharma in the video vandalising the campus were Akshat Awasthi and Rohit Shah who have been served notice by police.

Police said all three are yet to be traced.
