Encounter breaks out in Kashmir's Kulgam, 1 security personnel injured

Srinagar/IBNS: One security personnel was injured in an encounter between the security forces and militants in Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam on Saturday, media reports said.

A joint operation was launched by the CRPF, Army and local police after receiving inputs about possible presence of terrorists in Modergram village.

The security forces descended upon the village and trapped the militants.

One security personnel sustained injuries during the gunfight.

Kashmir Zone Police posted on X, "#Encounter started at Modergam Village of #Kulgam District. Police and Security Forces are on job. Further details shall follow."
