Delhi/IBNS: A horrific case of sexual violence has emerged from Haryana’s Faridabad, where a 28-year-old woman was allegedly gang-raped inside a moving van for over two hours before being thrown onto the road in an injured state.

The incident occurred during the intervening night between Monday and Tuesday.

According to police, the married woman was waiting for a vehicle late at night to return home when a van stopped near her.

Two young men inside the vehicle offered to drop her home, luring her into the van under false pretences.

Instead of heading towards her residence, the vehicle moved towards Gurgaon Road.

The woman was allegedly held captive inside the van for nearly two-and-a-half hours, during which the accused repeatedly assaulted her.

Despite her resistance and pleas, the men reportedly threatened her and continued the attack.

At around 3 am, the accused allegedly pushed the woman out of the moving vehicle near Raja Chowk in SGM Nagar.

She sustained serious facial injuries and was found bleeding heavily on the roadside.

The victim had repeatedly tried to contact her sister during the ordeal.

When her sister returned the call and learned about the assault, family members rushed to the location and immediately shifted the woman to a hospital.

Doctors reportedly administered 10 to 12 stitches on her face and described her condition as critical at the time of admission.

Although the woman is now said to be medically stable, she remains in deep shock.

Police officials stated that her formal statement is yet to be recorded due to her condition.

In her complaint, the victim’s sister revealed that the woman had spoken to her around 8.30 pm the previous evening, saying she had an argument with her mother and was going to a friend’s house.

She had assured her sister that she would return home within three hours.

The woman is married, has three children, and lives separately from her husband following a domestic dispute, police sources said.

Both accused have been arrested, and the van allegedly used in the crime has been recovered. Police said further investigation is underway.
