Freight train derails near Bihar's Buxar

Buxar (Bihar): A freight train coach derailed near Dumraon station in the city of Buxar, Bihar on Monday, media reported, citing to railway officials.

The incident occurred around 10 p.m., causing one of the train's coaches to derail, resulting notable disruption to the adjacent railway track, reported India Today.

The freight train was traveling from Deen Dayal Upadhyay Junction to Fatuha via Buxar when the incident occurred.

Railway officials promptly arrived at the scene for an assessment.

Currently, there has been no official statement from railway authorities regarding the incident.

Measures are being taken to reposition the coach and repair the affected railway line.
