We are forced to live in alert to protect children and animals by keeping them inside the house.

The complaint was made to local wild life and forest department official to cage or quell the leopard from the prolific areas of village but no action was taken so far.
Forest Block Office Nahan Mr Davinder Kumar told UNI that he did not receive any such complaint so far and moreover team of wild life official would be deployed to the forest area where the leopard was seen recently.

Currently villagers are no armed as due to enforcement of model code and conduct in the state for Lok Sabha election, farmers and villagers have to deposit their license weapon with respective police station and police post on the direction of Election Commission for the smooth conduct of polling.

Since the MCC will be remained enforced till May 26 the farmers could not demand for their guns and weapon to encounter such event in the village where wild bear, Leopards and wild boar frequently attack or bite the people as most of villages in the state are surrounded by forests, a villager lamented.
