Inter-district movement in Assam will suspend for 15 days from May 21

Guwahati/IBNS: In view of rising the number of Covid-19 cases in the state, the Assam government has decided to suspend inter-district transport services and movement of people for 15 days from May 21.

In an order issued by Assam Chief Secretary Jishnu Barua on Monday said that. "All inter-district transport services and movement of people to and from other districts shall remain suspended for 15 days from 5 am of May 21 or until further orders.”

However, many emergency and essential services will be exempted from the restrictions.

Assam on Monday had reported 92 Covid-19 deaths and 6,394 new positive cases.
