New Delhi, July 18 (IBNS): Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal on Friday slammed the Delhi Budget present by Union Fiance Minister Arun Jaitley and said the ruling party has taken a "U-turn" on almost all the promises it had made ahead of the Lok Sabha polls.

In a series of tweets, Kejriwal expressed his disapproval of the budget and said: " BJP promised 30% redn in tariff. They didn't do it. Why this U-turn? BJP has made a U-turn on almost all poll promises."

He said the budget did not mention measures of reducing raising prices of vegetables.

"No mention in delhi budget on how del people will get relief from rising prices of vegetables," the former Delhi CM said.

"No mention of how elect supply in del wud be improved...no mention of how water starved areas in del wud get water, how tanker mafia wud be controlled...no mention of how corruption wud be reduced, which has increased a lot since the fall of AAP govt," he tweeted.

Jaitley on Friday presented Delhi's Budget for Rs 36,776 crore in the Parliament, with no new taxes imposed.

"The total Budget Estimate for the Government of NCT of Delhi for the year 2014-15 is Rs. 36766 crore. Rs. 19066 Crore Non-Plan expenditure and Rs. 17700 crore Plan expenditure," Jaitley said in his statement.

Currently, Delhi assembly has been kept under suspended animation and the President Rule is in force.
