Madhya Pradesh: 14 people die in road mishap in Rewa

Rewa: At least 14 people died when a bus, in which they were travelling, met with an accident in Madhya Pradesh's Rewa district on Friday, media reports said.

According to reports, 40 people were injured in the incident.

The injured people were rushed to hospital for treatment.

The bus - which had scores of people aboard - was headed from Telangana's Hyderabad to Uttar Pradesh's Gorakhpur, reports Hindustan Times.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot condoled the loss of lives in the tragedy and tweeted: " Saddened to learn about a road accident in Rewa, MP in which many lives have been lost. My heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. May they remain strong in this difficult time. Prayers for speedy recovery of those injured."
