Majority of Indians have full faith in government, Pew survey says
The survey, which was conducted by Pew Research Center, stated around 55% of the people supports the autocracy in one way or the other.
On the other hand, 27% of people wants a "strong leader".
India is one of those three countries in Asia Pacific region which supports technocracy.
"Asian-Pacific publics generally back rule by experts, particularly people in Vietnam (67%), India (65%) and the Philippines (62%)," the report was quoted by media.
However, Australians contradicted to say such a governance would not be good.
On the other hand, among Russians, 48% of the people who were surveyed support governance by a strong leader.
Interesting, nearly 53% and 52% of people of India and South Africa opined that military rule will be good for their countries.
The older generation, though, do not approve the military rule for countries like India and South Africa.
