Modi to distribute portfolios at Cabinet meet

New Delhi, May 27 (IBNS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi will on Tuesday hold his first Cabinet meeting where he will distribute the portfolios of his ministers.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Rajnath Singh is likely to become the Home Minister, said reports.

Senior party leader Sushma Swaraj may reportedly become the External Affairs Minister, while Arun Jaitley is likely to be the Finance and Defence Minister.

Meanwhile, media speculations said Nitin Gadkari may get the charge of Surface and Shipping Transport Ministries, while Ravi Shankar Prasad may become the Law and Telecom Minister. 

President Pranab Mukherjee on Monday appointed Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister of India.

Further, as advised by the Prime Minister, the President appointed the following as members of the Council of Ministers:-
