Naveen Patnaik announces free bus services to Kolkata

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Sunday announced free bus services to Kolkata in view of the disruption of normal train service caused by the Bahanaga train tragedy.

Patnaik said since the people are facing a lot of difficulty to reach Kolkata free bus services to Kolkata will be available from Puri, Bhubaneswar and Cuttack from Sunday keeping in view the greater benefit of the commuters.

Naveen said the entire cost will be met from Chief Minister’s Relief fund.

This arrangement will continue till the restoration of normal train service in the Balasore route, he said.

It may be mentioned that daily around 50 buses will provide transport service to Kolkata from the above three cities of Odisha.
