Pakistan: Suicide blast in mosque, kills 16
Peshawar, Sept 16 (IBNS): At least 16 people were killed as a suicide bomber detonated himself in a mosque in northwestern Pakistan on Friday, media reports said.
The attack has left 23 others injured.
At least 23 others were injured in the blast, Assistant Political Agent Naveed Akbar told DawnNews.
The injured people were rushed to hospitals for treatment.
A security source was quoted as saying by the newspaper that the suicide bomber blew himself up in the veranda of the mosque.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
