PM Modi pays tributes to martyrs on Vijay Diwas
New Delhi, Dec 16 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday paid tributes to martyrs on the occasion of Vijay Diwas.
"Vijay Diwas is a fitting reminder of the valour & sacrifice of all those who fought courageously in the 1971 war. Tributes to them," his tweet read.
Celebrated annually on Dec 16 in India, Vijay Diwas marks the military victory of Indian soldiers over their Pakistani counterparts during the Indo-Pakistani war of 1971.
