Cyber frauds used a new trick to lure men into a fraudulent scheme in Bihar where they offered them money for 'impregnating' women who were not able to conceive a child with their partners, media reports said.

Eight people have been arrested for allegedly committing the crime in Nawada.

The group, known as 'All India Pregnant Job (Baby Birth Service),' used to operate through social media platforms, assuring men an opportunity to earn money by 'impregnating' women, reported India Today.

According to the police, the accused charged a registration fee of Rs 799 from those who showed an interest, followed by additional demands for security money ranging from Rs 5,000 to Rs 20,000, the Indian news channel reported.

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Bihar Police arrested the persons after conducting raids on the premises of the suspected mastermind Munna Kumar.

Several suspects reportedly escaped during the raid.

Nine smartphones and a printer were seized from their possession.
